UK, August 28th 2026:
Karl Dungs, Co-Chief Executive Officer at Dungs Combustion Controls, visited the UK subsidiary of KARL DUNGS as the first stop on his whistlestop tour of the Group as he steps away from active management after more than 40 years of leadership and dedication to the company. Karl is also the Co-Managing Director of Karl Dungs GmbH & Co. KG, which manufactures key combustion control systems and successfully exports them worldwide.
A company spokesman comments:
Accompanied by his wife Jutta, his son and COO Simon Dungs, along with Simon's wife Lola and their three children, his visit was a wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate an incredible career and say thank you in person.
Affectionately known as 'Charlie', his leadership, vision, and unwavering support have helped shape not only our company, but also the industry.
To mark the occasion, Charlie was presented with a scale model of our UK office, a building for which he proudly broke ground himself. We were also delighted to welcome Steve McConnell, Director of ICOM - Industrial & Commercial Heating & Hot Water, who presented Charlie with a certificate of recognition, an award that had not been bestowed for over ten years. In addition, our Managing Director, David Manion, presented him with a certificate for outstanding contribution from the UKGSA | UK Gen-Set & CHP Association."
The company spokesman concludes:
These honours are a fitting tribute to the lasting impact Charlie has made throughout his distinguished career and the respect he has earned across the industry over many decades. From everyone at Karl Dungs Limited. Thank you, Charlie, for your leadership, support, and friendship over the years. We wish you and your family all the very best for the future."
