he INTERENERGO team in Ukraine has commissioned another modern gas power plant with an electrical capacity of 19.2 MW using MWM generators. Because of current conditions, the project took 14 months to complete a process involving the comprehensive design, supply of all equipment and full range of construction and installation works.
The power plant was built using the most advanced gas piston units from the German manufacturer MWM, boasting one of the highest efficiencies in its class. A spokesman comments: " The power plant is a shining example of decentralized generation to support the frequency of Ukraine's power grid. The plant has an advanced control system which integrates the process and electrical components into a single system for monitoring and control by operators and maintenance personnel, as well as monitoring and control capabilities for the power system operator. Individual commissioning tests have successfully validated all design solutions and have brought the power plant up to its design capacity of 19.2 MW.
"For 21 years, our team has been successfully implementing the largest and most unique turnkey projects in industrial power generation, cogeneration, trigeneration, thermal oil systems, industrial refrigeration systems, and distributed generation to support the frequency of power grid. With our support, the customer's operating personnel underwent specialised training at the manufacturer's plant in Mannheim, Germany, as well as training for our team's service and operating personnel during commissioning work at the customer's site."
