hell is set to build Holland Hydrogen 1 in the Netherlands, a renewable hydrogen plant which, once completed, will be the largest of its kind in Europe. The plant, to be constructed on the Tweede Maasvlakte in the port of Rotterdam, will house a 200MW electrolyser, which will be powered by offshore wind from the Hollandse Kust (noord) farm. The plant will be operational by 2025, and will produce up to 60,000 kilograms of renewable hydrogen per day. The green hydrogen produced will be transported via the HyTransPort pipeline – a new hydrogen pipeline through the Port of Rotterdam with planned connections locally as well as to Chemelot in Limburg, North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany and other European regions.
