o mark its 160th anniversary, Lister Petter has unveiled the Jupiter Series, named after the largest planet in our solar system, the celestial gas giant Jupiter. Founded in 1865 in Yeovil, England, by James Beazely Petter, the company has built a proud tradition of innovation in power solutions. In recent years, Lister Petter has expanded its portfolio - extending its diesel power range to 800 kW in 2021, with further growth to 2000 kW in 2025.
The Jupiter Series introduces a Natural Gas alternative to Lister Petter’s renowned fixed-speed power generation engines. This new range includes seven Natural Gas units, delivering between 22 kW and 500 kW across four and six cylinder configurations. Units are available in both 1500 rpm and 1800 rpm variants, designed to meet the rising demand for cleaner, more efficient energy solutions worldwide.
Electronics are at the core of the new lineup. An advanced ECU-controlled fuel system featuring electronic EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) and AFR (Air-Fuel Ratio) management ensures precise fuel delivery, improved efficiency, and reduced emissions. Engine components have been redesigned to lower noise, enhance cooling, and increase thermal efficiency—allowing for more compact and effective cooling packages.
A water-cooled turbocharger further enhances performance, delivering consistent, controllable airflow to the cylinder head. With a six-cylinder, in-line configuration (Bore x Stroke: 110Ă—135 mm) and turbocharging, the Jupiter Series offers a broad power output up to 500 kW.
With the launch of the Jupiter Series, Lister Petter reaffirms its commitment to innovation and sustainability, offering customers a cleaner, more efficient, and versatile power generation solution fit for the future.
