enesal Energy has installed three GEN330FI generator sets of 330 kVA each in a local government building located in Blackpool, a seaside resort town in Lancashire, UK. According to the manufacturer the gensets were specifically designed to meet the building's needs.
The units, sound insulated not to exceed 75 dB(A) at 1 metre, were manufactured in specially dimensioned canopies and finished with C5M environmentally resistant paint. In addition, they have been synchronised with each other by means of a DeepSea DSE8610 control system, which ensures perfect operability between the units, reports Genesal Energy
Each generator has a 650-litre fuel tank and a transfer system which allows continuous fuel supply from an external tank at ground level. Anti-condensation heaters on the alternators and anti-corrosion treatment on the windings have also been added to ensure their operability in all climate conditions.
A spokesman comments:
"The careful design of this project not only responds to the high technical standards that these buildings requires, but also to the importance of maintaining a safe environment for users and workers. These silent generator sets ensure the smooth operation and effectively secure the power supply for the council building in Blackpool. Each generator has its own fuel tank with a transfer system on each generator which allows the supply of fuel oil from a ground level tank at any time it is needed."
Special features include:
