GENSETS BOUGHT BY THE NAVANTIA SAN FERNANDO SHIPYARD

enesal Energy has supplied a 1650 kVA genset (GEN1650YC) for Navantia and its San Fernando shipyard, in Cádiz, Spain. The main objective was specifically to supply emergency power for the dry dock’s bilge pumps which must operate continuously to protect personnel working in the area. Features of the genset include a 1,500L fuel tank integrated in the baseframe. The genset is designed to work parallel to mains operation with dual circuit breakers: one of them motorised in  parallel with mains and one manual for connection to a load bank - this allows personnel to carry out load tests with the genset already installed.
