he sale of Dürr Clean Technology Systems (CTS) to Stellex Capital Management brings fresh momentum, while preserving the technical strength and partnerships that underpin the business, reports Dürr CTS.
Last autumn, Stellex Capital Management completed the acquisition of Dürr Group’s air and noise filtration technology business, now operating as Dürr Clean Technology Systems (CTS). The business joins Stellex’s international portfolio of industrial companies as a global provider of exhaust-air purification and sound insulation systems, employing around 1,300 people worldwide.
For Dürr Group, the sale marks a deliberate step in a wider strategy to simplify its business structure and sharpen its focus on core activities. Importantly, the transaction does not represent a clean break. Dürr has retained a reinvestment of approximately 25 per cent in the environmental technology business, underlining its continued confidence in the sector and its future prospects.
Both parties have been clear about the logic of the deal. Dr Jochen Weyrauch, CEO of Dürr AG, commented:
“With the sale of the environmental technology business, we have successfully completed the simplification of our Group structure. Our focus is now fully on our core business, centred on the sustainable automation of production processes. At the same time, under its new owner Stellex, the environmental technology business is ideally positioned to continue its growth trajectory and explore new business fields.”
From Stellex’s perspective, the acquisition brings a technically strong, globally established business with clear opportunities for expansion.
Karthik Achar, Partner at Stellex, said: “Alongside a reputable and valued partner in Dürr, we look forward to driving future growth of the Clean Technology Systems business across the globe, bringing Stellex’s transatlantic resources to bear.”
On the ground, the message is one of continuity combined with ambition. Speaking to AMPS Power, Nick Oakland, Managing Director of Dürr CTS Ltd, headquartered in Hinckley, described the change in ownership as a positive development for customers.
He explains:
“We have retained the same team delivering the same levels of service across our global client base,” he said. “Our international reach, backed by well-established technical expertise, means we are well placed to expand our sales and services, with new impetus from the connections and investment offered by our new owners.”
Dürr CTS operates through a network of offices in the UK, Europe, United States and India, supported by sales partners across Scandinavia, Asia and Australia. Its core activities span air pollution control, noise abatement systems and solvent recovery systems — technologies that are increasingly critical as industry responds to tightening environmental standards and decarbonisation pressures.
The company also works closely with several fellow AMPS member companies, reinforcing its stated mission:
“Bold Change. Clean Future.”
With a stable foundation and renewed investment backing, Dürr Clean Technology Systems appears well-positioned to turn that slogan into practical progress.
