EIM has provided 12 x C2500D5A diesel gensets for the Abu Rawwash Wastewater Treatment Plant - a key pillar of Egypt's Vision 2030 which is transforming water management for Greater Cairo.
With a 1.6million m3/day capacity, the water plant serves 9 million residents, ensuring safer treated water for environmental discharge and agricultural reuse, contributing to a more sustainable future.
As the exclusive distributor of Cummins gensets in Egypt, EIM has been directly involved in providing this critical infrastructure with 12 Cummins C2500D5A generators, delivering a total of 30,000kVA. These reliable power solutions ensure uninterrupted operation, keeping this vital facility running efficiently- even under the toughest conditions, says Cummins.
This project, under the supervision of Egypt's Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development stands as a testament to Egypt’s commitment to sustainable development.

The Cummins C2500D5A diesel gensets are notable due to their 2500 kVA capacity, which provides ample power for various applications. They feature a 3-phase output for balanced power distribution and a 50Hz frequency for compatibility with most electrical systems. Each generator is designed for stationary standby, prime power, and continuous duty applications, ensuring reliable performance in different scenarios. The open design allows for easy access to the engine and maintenance, while the containerised design minimizes the generator's footprint and extends its run time before refuelling. Additionally, the generator's low emissions and fast response to load changes make it an environmentally friendly and efficient choice for power generation.
