ILLER POWER SYSTEMS has released an advanced and comprehensive UPS portfolio: together with ShieldX Dynamic Power Stabilisation this provides a complete suite of technologies engineered for data centres data driven by AI, Cloud, and IoT, reports the company.
In a new contract the first 4 of 36 Bergen B36:45V20 gas engines, each producing 11.2MW of behind-the-meter (BTM) power, were shipped from a factory in Norway destined for an AI data centre BTM power project in the USA.
The engines, which will be fitted with Marelli Motori high-density alternators on site, are scheduled to come into service in April, together with Piller SHIELDX™ power stabilization modules. Further deliveries will be made progressively through 2026, with all 36 Bergen-Marelli generator sets and SHIELDX™ modules expected to be providing up to 400MW of gross BTM power by year end.
“This is an historic moment”
said Managing director Jon Erik Røv.
“The race to power AI is on and Bergen Engines is very much part of that. With over $1 billion of orders received in December alone, powering AI has become a major focus as we ramp up to meet this unprecedented demand in 2026”
Piller Power Systems is proud to be offering cutting-edge data centre solutions like ShieldX Dynamic Power Stabilisation for BTM power conditioning and grid-independent operation, Smart M+ Series Modular Static UPS for rack-level power protection, high-efficiency UPS and energy storage integration and microgrid-ready infrastructure for hybrid and renewable power plants.
