In 2022 NerG Ltd was involved in the delivery of a 360kW CHP engine at the Rudding Park Luxury Spa Hotel in Harrogate. Here an engineering team installed this in the bespoke plant room built onsite. Installation of this CHP system has created a high efficiency heat and power source for the site by capturing and reusing the waste heat produced by the engine.
The purpose of the CHP system was the enable the site to become less grid-reliant and to combat rising energy prices. The CHP system installed onsite is also Hydrogen Ready, future-proofing the client's investment. "Hydrogen Ready" refers to systems or components which are designed to operate safely and effectively with hydrogen gas.
NerG has arranged for all attendees and delegates to July's PowerEx Live Northern England show to have an opportunity to tour the CHP facility.
