The Middle East Genset (Generator) market is expected to register substantial growth (3.7% CAGR) owing to the rising population and inadequate generation of power supply between 2022-2030. The rising number of government offices, shopping complex and industries will enhance the development of the genset market. Additionally, increasing number of chemical and power projects is likely to further expand the growth of the market. Economic diversification backed by upsurge investment of government in infrastructure is likely to boost the growth of the industry and region.

The diesel generator market in Middle East has grown by 17% in 2022 and even exceeded pre Covid crisis level, hitting US$1.3B in 2022. This post-covid recovery is particularly significant for generators above 2000 kVA, whose sales increased by 67% in 2022. While most territories grew in 2022, some outperformed, such as Saudi Arabia in particular (+50%) thanks in particular to the major development projects underway in the country. The generator set market should continue to grow in 2023, still driven by high power generator sets and Saudi Arabia, but also thanks to the data center segment whose projects are increasingly numerous in the region, particularly in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
