UMMINS SAUDI ARABIA LIMITED of Buraydah has won a contract to deliver 30 x DQLC and 6 x DQCA enclosed gensets, totalling a capacity of 73.2 Megawatts to a client in The Kingdom who operates six hyperscale data centres across Riyadh and Dammam. The project is considered integral to bolstering the Kingdom's digital and data management capabilities.

Collaborating closely with the consultant, Cummins Arabia has refined the power systems' design to ensure each data centre meets operational and energy efficiency standards, accommodating the required products within a limited footprint and ensuring compatibility with 50-C  ambient temperatures and UPTIME institute data centre specs.

 A spokesman comments:

"Cummins Arabia provided detailed technical information and support to ensure all equipment and systems were aligned with project specifications. This included managing a complex balance of plant & accessories, featuring remote radiators, dual ACB panels, Ni-Cad batteries, and fuel coolers, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with both local and international standards.

With a challenging timeline of just 7 months, Cummins Arabia effectively co-ordinated across four site locations with two main contractors. This efficient logistics and project management practice ensured the timely delivery of components, conducting factory acceptance tests for each model, and installing enclosures while maintaining high safety standards.

  The spokesman continues:

"Cummins Arabia's proactive and integrated approach in the early design phase established a strong partnership with consultants, enabling tailored solutions that met the project's extensive requirements. This strategic involvement from the bid stage through to execution ensured Cummins Arabia's recommendation for future projects, showcasing their commitment to delivering top-quality solutions within budget and design parameters.
"The successful initial project execution led to the client awarding Cummins Arabia additional contracts for further extensions and enhancements within the existing sites. This continuous engage-ment and proactive support have not only emphasised the trust and satisfaction with Cummins Arabias' performance but also positioned them as a preferred partner for the client's future endeavours. Cummins Arabias’ role in powering critical infrastructures is further solidified, establishing it as a key player in the development of Saudi Arabia’s IT infrastructure."
