LCOS has supplied four 650 kVA Super Silent - Parallel mode diesel gensets to a data centre site in Italy. The gensets are powered by Doosan engine and feature STAMFORD | AvK alternators. The versatile ELCOS Super Silent Gen Set range is built to cover the widest application field and customizable to any needs.

These gensets grant a reliable power supply and optimise the load thanks to an MC4 control panel.
The Super Silent range covers from 10 to 250 KVA, equipped with engines and premium brand alternators.
ELCOs was also responsible for providing ORSHA Airport on Belarus with a GE.PK.450\400.BF+011 genset and a GE.PK.400\350. BF+011, equipped with Perkins engines and Stamford alternators. These two power generators are powered by a 3000-litre external tank.
The tank is placed in separate room inside the container and in addition is equipped with a solenoid valve with adjustable timer.
In May 2024 pharmaceutical manufacturer from the Switzerland-based Farma Industria Ticino approached Elcos to provide 1250kVA of standby power capability. This demand perfectly suited the container-housed product range within the Elcos portfolio. Elcos srl is as an important Italian company for producing generators. It develops, produces, sells and installs systems for the generation of electric energy amounting to 700 MW per year.
The generator set for Ticino was powered by a Baudouin 12M33G1250/5 engine coupled to a STAMFORD® S6 alternator. The Baudouin 12M33G1250/5 engine is currently the smallest engine from the 12M33 range nonetheless it is still a powerful engine. The engine comes with a turbocharger and air-to-air after cooler and it is currently manufactured in France and China. The 12-cylinder engine is set up to run at 50 Hz and comes with mechanical pump fuel injection system. The engine produces 1485.9 horsepower (1108 kWm) when running at 1500 RPM and has a total displacement of 39.2 litres. The Baudouin engine can be coupled with an alternator to create a powerful diesel generator which can be used for power generation in multiple industries. If a greater power output is required the generators could be placed in parallel increasing the total power output.
The STAMFORD® S6 has a voltage output of 380 to 480V and can deliver 810 to 1695kVA. Like all alternators in the STAMFORD® S-Range, it benefits from the 3-year warranty and a CoreCooling™ high-efficiency air flow system, which achieves improved thermal performance alongside increased power density. The Elcos container generator set can be silenced up to 50 dB(A) at 7 metres, with RINA certification and can be equipped with a number of customised features including light systems, auxiliary outlets, heaters with thermostats and motor-driven grids. Elcos work with their customers to ensure the correct specification to meet the specific requirements of each project.
