HADDAR MACHINERY has supplied a 500 kVA diesel generator with Cummins engine and Leroy Somer alternator to Bara University in Iraq. Ghaddar Generators says it is proud to be powering the faculties of the Southern Technical University in Basra. Ghaddar Machinery Co.'s engineering team in Iraq recently delivered and installed 500 KVA Ghaddar Generators distributed across three faculties of the Southern Technical University in Basra. The project consists of Ghaddar Generators powered by Cummins Engine KTA19G4 and Leroy Somer TAL0473C Alternators.
The KTA19-Series engine benefits from years of technical development and improvement to bring customers an innovative and future proof diesel engine that keeps pace with ever-changing generator set requirements. Recognized globally for its performance under even the most severe climatic conditions, the KTA19-Series is widely acknowledged as the most robust and cost-effective diesel engine in its power range for the generator set market. Features of the engine include:
*Turbocharger – Cummins Turbo technologies (CTT) exhaust gas driven turbocharger mounted at top of engine.
*Fuel System – Cummins PT™ self-adjusting system. Integral dual flyweight governor provides overspeed protection independent of main governor.
*Aftercooler – Large capacity aftercooler results in cooler, denser intake air for more efficient combustion and reduced internal stresses for longer life.
*Cylinder Block – Alloy cast iron with removable wet liners. Cross bolt support to main bearing cap provides extra strength and stability.
* Service and Support - G-Drive products are backed by an uncompromising level of technical support and after sales service, delivered through a world class Cummins service network.
The NIDEC/Leroy-Somer TAL 0473 All-purpose industrial alternator is regarded as suitable for all standard generators sets applications. The TAL 0473 is the latest addition to the range based on the
.3 platform. It replaces the TAL 047 and benefits from improved performance: kVA/50Hz - kW/60Hz | Continuous / 40°C.
The Southern Technical University in Basra was established in 2014 and it linked to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The university HQ is in Basra, and is linked to Basra Engineering Technical College, the Basra Administrative Technical College, the Basra Health and Medical Technical College and the Basra Technical Institute.
