enesal Energy has supplied the Howard water-treatment-plant, based in Panama Oeste district ,with a customised 3875 kVA generator set (GEN3875TC). This customised 3875 kVA generator set will ensure the operation of the infrastructure in the event of grid failures or outages. The Howard plant is located less than 25 kilometres from Panama City, in Panama Oeste district and the works, which budget exceeds US$211 million, have been promoted by the Administration (Panama Canal Authority). The project developed by Genesal Energy consists of the manufacture, supply and commissioning of an emergency unit to shield the power supply in any situation.

The 3875 kVA unit has been installed in a customised 45-foot container with an external exhaust system and features air coolers on the roof to withstand high temperatures. The genset means that the supply of drinking water for the 200,000 living in the area can be guaranteed.

Panama has been a key part of Genesal Energy’s business strategy from the very beginning, when the company began its international expansion more than 25 years ago. Abundant natural resources and a great future from the energy point of view are just two of the attractions of this Central American country and hence its presence in the company’s strategic plans.
