ERTEL O. STEEN POWER SOLUTIONS AS (BOS Power) has delivered three mtu Kinetic PowerPack DRUPS units from a production site in Belgium earlier this year. The units have now reached a major milestone in the commissioning process: a full load test of the system to safeguard uninterrupted power at the University of Oslo’s new Life Science Building.
The test validates the design objectives:
-Stable, clean power under varying and sudden load changes
-Seamless transition during mains disturbances
-Reliable performance from flywheel-based kinetic energy storage in perfect sync with the diesel generator
-A robust, battery-free solution ideally suited for critical research environments
A spokesman comments:
"Our mtu Kinetic PowerPacks ensure a stable energy supply even in the event of an outage, making them a cornerstone of energy resilience. By combining kinetic energy storage with diesel generation, they provide uninterrupted, reliable power for critical facilities — helping secure operations where stability is non-negotiable."
