MEDAS - A NEW ALTITUDE SIMULATION SYSTEM FOR GENSET DEVELOPMENT

ORIBA, a global supplier of engineering and test systems, has developed an altitude simulation system designed to decrease development & testing time frames for vehicle development, including engine manufacturers, OEMs and engineering companies. The MEDAS system is a compact altitude simulator which supplies the correct atmospheric conditions to reproduce a wide range of environmental scenarios. It is suited for a variety of testing applications, including calibration, durability, and rig-to-rig correlation testing, the company said.

“MEDAS creates a test environment, typically for engine testing, but independent on the specimen under test – so it can also be used for a Genset application,”
