A key speaker at this event in 2023 was the Right Honourable Dr.Alan Whithead MP, who presented a paper entitled “Labour’s Plan to Deliver Britain’s Low-Carbon Energy System”. This presentation discussed Labour’s commitments on the UK’s power sector and touched upon areas like hydrogen and CCS infrastructure and brought in a record number of attendees. The UK's new Labour Government Energy Policy will be under discussion at this December's PowerEx Live London 2024.

A key part of the resources available at PowerEx Live is the POWER HUB LEARNING ZONE which is held in a dedicated area of the exhibition floor. Participants for 2023 included John Booth, a well-known figure in EU data centre circles, primarily for his role as reviewer for the EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres (Energy Efficiency) EUCOC programme and his work with the Certified Energy Efficiency Data Centre Award (CEEDA) & Data Centre Alliance Certification.
Another important speaker at the Training Zone in 2023 was Ashley Bookman, CEO of Momentum Incorporated. He is a systemic thinker whose primary focus is to understand and provide viable, practical solutions for personal development. Clinton Noble of Finning UK was also present to offer advice and encouragement to participants last year. He has 22 years of experience in the diesel generator and critical power infrastructure business.
A very important speaker at the Training Zone appreciated by everyone - included Jonathan Stokes. Jonathan is Sales & Marketing Director for Mecc Alte. He has full commercial responsibility for driving the sales team in all of the EMEA markets for Mecc Alte and is a member of the senior management team. Supporting him at the event was his colleague Terry Strange who holds a key position as Workshop manager with Mecc Alte / Cabel UK in Oakham. He was able to offer training advice as part of his advanced skills in Project Engineering and Commissioning while speaking at the Training & Engineering Hub. AJ Power also provided a training session for all attendees at the conference. AJ Power currently manufactures generating sets at a modern production facility (10,500 sqm) in Craigavon, Northern Ireland, UK.
After the Conference is over there will be a final hospitality event from: 17.30/18.00 – late 22.30/23.00 – this is opposite the venue on a stationary boat (Invitation ticket only through PMIG and DCA Data Centre Alliance). This is a separate Networking business, with social drinks and food provided as a reception party for ongoing discussions.
