ight 8 x 1,925 kVA diesel generator sets equipped with Baudouin engines and Stamford alternators have been supplied by ARKEN JENERATOR to Sivas Cumhuriyet University, a healthcare institution in Turkey. The University was established in 1974 in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey.
The foundations of the Health Services Application and Research Hospital were laid in September 1975 and were subsequently put into service in late 1992.
A spokesman comments: “The University management had expressed a need for a reliable power backup system to provide essential support during any mains power interruptions.
“Arken Jenerator, known for its high-value diesel generators, partnered with STAMFORD | AvK to provide a robust solution. Eight STAMFORD S7 alternators, paired with Baudouin 16M33G1900/5 engines, each delivered 1925 kVA of prime power. These generators, originally operating at 400V, were stepped up to 34.5 kV using transformers, ensuring synchronisation at the higher voltage required by the University.
STAMFORD AvK’s expertise in application engineering and technical support overcame the complexities of synchronisation and voltage transformation, delivering a solution which now meets the highest standards of reliability and efficiency, reports the company.
