Uzum Market is a leading e-commerce platform in Uzbekistan, established on December 1, 2022. It integrates various services, including a marketplace, express delivery, fintech, and banking, catering to both individuals and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Uzum Market has rapidly grown, becoming a significant player in the e-commerce sector, holding over 70% of the market share and employing around 10,000 employees. The platform has garnered over 17 million monthly users and operates in more than 450 towns and cities across Uzbekistan, offering a diverse range of products and services to its customers.
The project for Uzum Market required a high-capacity system capable of guaranteeing uninterrupted operation during possible grid failures, ensuring that refrigeration units, IT systems, and other critical processes continued running without costly downtime.
Uzbekistan's power grid is undergoing significant transformation, particularly in response to the rapid expansion of renewable energy sources. The grid faces limitations in connecting new renewable energy sources, which hampers their operational capacity.

The genset supplied for the Uzum Market project was the E BD MC 2750 model, engineered to meet the demanding requirements of large-scale retail operations. Equipped with a powerful Baudouin engine and a robust Mecc Alte alternator, the system was integrated with ABB circuit breaker and ATS technology, ensuring smooth transfer between grid and generator power.
The soundproof container was specifically adapted for the site, minimizing noise emissions in compliance with local standards. With a 4000-liter fuel tank and additional heating systems, the genset was designed for long-duration performance and reliable operation under Uzbekistan’s varying climate conditions.
