he TEDOM Poland team has provided three 4.3 MW CHP units for a landmark installation at ZGH Bolesław, one of the largest zinc producers in Poland. The site now features three TEDOM Quanto 4000 CHP units, each with a 4.3 MW capacity, contributing to a total output of 12.9 MW of electricity.

Zakłady Górniczo-Hutnicze "Bolesław" S.A. is the largest zinc producer in Poland and a major producer in Europe. The company has over 70 years of tradition in the extraction of zinc and lead ores and the production of the highest quality zinc products for demanding customers in Poland and abroad. Despite the cessation of mining activity due to the exploitation of available deposits, ZGH is constantly increasing its production capacity by applying innovative technical solutions on a global scale. The company implements modern technologies based on the maximum use of recycling in the production process, which allows it to effectively compete on the market and at the same time take care of the rational use of natural resources. Many years of co-operation with demanding customers in the field of optimisation of protective coatings for steel structures and sheets have ensured that its products meet the expectations of customers, both in terms of chemical composition and commercial form, reports the company.
The Quanto series CHP units offer a very high output. One such unit can reliably supply heat to an entire housing estate of 250 apartments, including an adjacent primary school. At the same time, it produces enough electric power to cover the consumption of a town of two thousand people. Other key applications include industrial plants, quarries and mines.
