team Turbine Generator was formed to service the Griffiss Business and Technology Park to provide power for 60 companies. Aware of rising oil and natural gas prices, GUSC decided to look for a way to provide the park with clean, reliable, and lower-cost power. Its key challenge was to develop a flexible energy power plant which meets new environmental guidelines and still provides reliable, low-cost energy to end-users.
Ultimately, the Elliott Group of Pennsylvania provided a 900 kWe back pressure steam turbine generator that uses the steam generated from a biomass boiler.The technology applied was the SVSS Steam Turbine with Induction Generator(900kWe)
