TOS GENERATORS has supplied six 660kVA diesel generators with MTU engines and DEIF control panels to an off-grid power plant located in the Egyptian desert. DEIF has been involved in the completion of the second phase of the off-grid hybrid solar /battery gensets power plant located in the Western Desert of Egypt. DEIF has been partnering with ATOS Generators to provide a turnkey Energy Management System solution to the Egyptian EPC company KarmSolar and their strategic shareholder EDF, to control different power sources, optimize fuel consumption, and enhance power from CO2-free sources (solar PV and batteries). The plant consist of 6 x 660kVA MTU gensets + 2.6 MWp Sungrow solar inverters (4 x ASC-4 Solar) + 1MW/3.9MWh Sungrow BESS (ASC-4 Battery). The system is controlled by a AGC 150 from DEIF. This is an easy-to-use control unit handling all the necessary functions for protection and control of a genset. It can be used as a single unit for one genset, or it can be connected in a complete power management system with up to 32 controllers for synchronising projects, island or parallel to the mains. The power management system handles the load sharing between gensets and the load-dependent start and stop.   The DEIF AGC 150 contains all necessary 3-phase measuring circuits, and all values and alarms are presented on the sun proof LCD display.
