EWE has chosen to protect its new warehouse in Magdeburg Rothensee using a mtu Kinetic PowerPack (x 2,250 kVA dynamic UPS). The site is one of the largest warehouses in Germany and is a key element in the logistic operations of one of the biggest supermarket chains in Europe. At this sensitive site a power outage had to be prevented. The dynamic UPS system installed at Magdeburg is rated 2.250 kVA. The mtu dynamic UPS technology has a low impedance, preventing potential system oscillations. Furthermore, the mtu Kinetic PowerPacks offer a long working lifetime expectancy, and ‘an extraordinary overload capacity’ says the manufacturer. Additional advantages for REWE include a smaller footprint and increased cost-effectiveness, mainly thanks to the system’s exceptionally compact and battery-free design.
